A.P. English Writing Assignment: 
Choose the main character from at least two of the novels (Beloved, Pride and Prejudice, Heart of Darkness, Catch-22) and analyze them.  Be sure to include their positive and negative characteristics and at least one major action or decision made during the novel.  In your opinion, are these characters  ' heroes'?  Explain your answer.
You will be graded on: 
·         Proper introduction and conclusion 
·         Inclusion of at least two characters from two of the four books
·         Use of evidence and support from at least two of the four novels with proper citation (author’s last name page#)  
·         Do not simply summarize 
·         Essay length 
·         Adherence to the conventions of Standard English and grammar 
·         Typed in Times New Roman 12 point font; double-spaced; MLA format
